Música culta y política en Argentina entre 1930 y 1945:

Abstract

Based on the study of the national and international political context of the period, the text deals with the positions taken by the actors of the local cultural field and the role played by important composers, specially those belonging to the Grupo Renovación. From their alliances and desagreements, conceptual and ideological affinities having influence on their aesthetical options are inferred. The article concludes on the impact the socio-political situation of the 30s might have had in the renewals of the debate nationalism/universalism.
